A Breeder of American, German and European bloodlines. We are located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where we are dedicated to placing our dogs in quality homes. We have been breeding Rottweilers for about 15 years and
show them in the following venue’s AKC, AIRK, ARV and USRC. Our Rottweilers are bred for structure, temperament and working drive. If you are looking for a show dog, home companion, or working dog we have a friend for you. Additionally, we also provide OFA stud service to approved bitches. We occasionally have older and rescue dogs for adoption.
Maureen and I fell in love with the Rottweiler breed when Maureen was just sixteen years old. She worked an entire summer saving every penny to buy her first Rottweiler. She loved and learned how to train a Rottweiler to do the job they were bred to do. Our Belle lived to be fourteen years old. Maureen decided many years ago to dedicate her life to serving animals, and she has done just that.
The Guardian Kennel is family owned and operated. From whelping puppies to feeding dogs to cleaning kennels, everyone in the family contributes in some way. We breed traditional black/tan, black/red, sable, solid black, and occasionally, bi-color GSDs and the traditional black and mahagony Rottweiler.
So graceful, yet so powerful looking, the Rottweiler grabbed our attention and stole our hearts the minute we laid eyes upon them. Our love for the Rottweiler has inspired us to contribute and dispel the misconceptions about this loyal, intelligent, beautiful breed.

We have been raising Rottweilers since 2003. We started with my daughter’s dog Lily who was a direct Multi-International Champion Rick V Burgthann daughter. This dog helped to shape our expectation and our love of the breed. We were initially and continue to be very impressed with the intelligence and creative problem solving ability of Rottweilers. It was incredible to watch Lily figure out how to play “hide and seek” with our other dog, and then see the other dog learn how to turn the tables on her.
