I was born with a love for animals. I had so many critters as a kid, that I drove my parent’s crazy! My parent’s used to say that I had a “way” with animals. When I was about 5 yo, I would walk home from school and invariably be followed by at least one dog.
We have been working with the Rottweilers for several years now and have a chosen this breed for thier unique pesonality, eagerness to learn and lifelong loyalty. They are a very versatile breed, making a wonderful family pet but also a protector.

Welcome to our Rottie world. The picture above is the view from our home which is located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. My husband Jim and I retired here from South Florida in 2002 to enjoy the “good life”. It is very beautiful and peaceful here. The weather is mild and we have a beautiful change of seasons. Our dogs love the weather too and get very excited the few days it snows.
Linda and Kim Wright have been breeding, showing and training rottweilers since 1989. We have produced many champion and obedience titled rottweilers. The most notable contributions to the breed include our own beloved “Walker” and Champion Wright’s Not Your Average Joe. “Joey”, owned by Leslie Candela, was shown by Linda Wright to Winner’s Dog and Best of Winner’s from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class at 18 months of age at the Colonial Rottweiler Club specialty, beating over 200 other rottweilers. Linda has won many Bred-by-Exhibitor classes at various national rottweiler specialties over the years. (You must be the breeder, owner and handler to enter this class.)
Our commitment is to ensure that every litter planned is for the betterment of the rottweiler breed; that every sire and dam is cleard by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals for healthy hearts, hips, elbows and eyes.
My love affair with rottweilers began in 1985 when I was in a park in Arizona. From across the park a great big dog decided to come running full speed towards me! As I braced myself for a crash, he stopped smartly in front of me, looked me squarely in the eye, grinned, and gently leaned against my leg. I was hooked right then and there by his intelligent presence, robust look, and obvious sense of humor. that day was the beginning of a series of relationships with the breed that will continue to have an impact on me for the rest of my life.

My interest in the Rottweiler was first ignited after I met two Rotties in 1968. From then on I was in search of the right Rotty to become a member of my family. Since that time I have shared my life with many wonderful Rottweilers. I have met a lot of people thru my dogs and have shared many wonderful times at shows and specialties
RiverRidge Rottweilers is an enthusiast kennel that is dedicated to the Rottweiler. We are a American Rottweiler Club Code of Ethics Breeder and American Kennel Club Breeder of Merit. As Rottweiler breeders, we are committed to consistently striving for the very best in the breed.
I started with the Rottweilers in the mid 80’s with Rottweiler puppies I bought from Breeders in theUSA. I live in the Sacramento, California and I have traveled as far as Florida to find a good puppy, but I found out it is not that easy to find a good puppy. I went thru these learning stages and finally I was fortunate enough to buy my first male Rottweiler Max vom Kressbach. I have owned Rottweilers for about 16 years and became very knowledgeable over the years. My passion and goal is to better the Rottweiler breed by the standard of the ADRK.
