The Boston Terrier is a highly intelligent smooth coated breed. They are an American original, hailing from the Boston area; they were kept and traded among New England socialites in the early 1900’s. They are an active, well-balanced, small breed that has won over many enthusiasts all over the country and abroad. The Boston Terrier is a short-headed, compact, short tailed dog. Acceptable colors are black, brindle, and seal evenly marked with white. They can weigh less than 15 pounds to 25 pounds with AKC weight classes divided.
