West Highland White Terrier

The West Highland White Terrier is a small, hardy, well-balanced dog that hails from the hills of Scotland. Westies are game companions who all seem to possess a high degree of self-importance. Many enthusiasts remark on how much Scottish determination can be found in such a small animal. Jack Russell Terrier

<align=”center”>The Reverend John Russell developed this tough little terrier in the south of England in the 1800’s. He wanted to create a white-bodied terrier that could hunt red fox above and below ground. Jack Russell terriers would join foxhunts and trail the hounds doing their job to ferret out foxes and aid the hunt. The Jack Russell is an alert, courageous, confident dog, medium in size and bone. They stand 12 to 14 inches at the shoulder and are compact and well balanced. Jack Russell’s have two coat types, smooth and broken; and acceptable colors are white, white with black or tan markings, or white with black and tan markings (tri-color).
